Business Development Manager - Healthcare

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic and reliable Business Development Manager who executes sales activities for the company to solicit profitable revenue and orders for Quest’s OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Services and Technology Solutions and Information Technology Managed Services, as applicable and assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    The initial emphasis will be allocated to a 30, 60 and 90 day Sales plan proposal and implementation of the Sales plan.
    Promotes and secures new business to achieve the assigned revenue objectives.
    The sales emphasis should be geared towards securing orders identified as “New Business Development.” New Business Development will consist of support and service contracts tied to various prospects in multiple vertical markets – i.e., healthcare, industrial, aviation, etc. Initial focus should be geared towards local headquartered accounts and businesses.
    Promotes the company’s service solutions addressing or predicting client’s objectives.
    Develops a growth strategy both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
    Develops sales campaigns in alignment with company goals for “solid” sales and profitable items.
    Follow up on the sales leads with prospective customers and solicit Quest services.
    Generate necessary correspondence to and from prospective customers, for ongoing business and sales purposes.
    With input from Quest, prepare proposals, quotations and contracts as necessary.
    Give verbal and/or in person Quest presentations to prospects as necessary.
    Identify the initial and then follow up sales plan and timeline(s) to address the sales needs of the “New Business Development”.
    • a) This should be updated on a weekly basis, or more frequently as required.
    • b) Develop strategy for assigned vertical market, geographic location or other designated mechanism to identify sales attack plan.
    Establish and then maintain all current and prospective clients in CRM database or other report tools as assigned.
    Works with IT Service Administration and /or Strategic Account Coordinators to complete all needed information and documents, necessary for submittal of orders.
    Prepares related reports on sales activities utilizes Microsoft Dynamic CRM and submit them. The reports, at a minimum will include:
    • a) Weekly sales activity report.
    • b) Monthly history and planning report
    Business Development Managers are required to spend a minimum of 50% of the time in the field soliciting and servicing customers in order to retain “Exempt Status”.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Adhere to all Quest policies and procedures, ensuring that only the highest level of integrity is utilized at all times.
    Adhere to all Quest ISO guidelines, procedures and Good Documentation Practices. Work with other Quest sales and marketing, as well as other divisional colleagues as necessary, for purposes of:
    • a) Sales and/or market training
    • b) Brainstorming
    • c) Collaborate sales efforts

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
    Five years of professional sales experience in a related industry.
    Knowledge of Healthcare OEM’s.
    Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
    Computer proficiency, as well as knowledge of Word, Excel and CRM software.
    Ability to organize and prioritize work, control multiple projects and to meet deadlines.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
    Ability to maintain professional relationship with customers and Quest employees.
